Changing Password.

After changing me password I get a prompt immediately wanting me to sign in with my new password. Is this normal? I just changed it. It ask if I want to sign out of all devices and I say yes.

iPhone 12, iOS 16

How do I know which Apple password is being requested; Apple ID, device access, community etc Apple says " one account for everything you do with Apple" I thought my Apple ID Password would be for everything Apple too, but not so. I have different access passwords for each of my devices - Mac27ios12.6.4; iPhone 13 mini; Mac air, Apple community, . All requests merely have 'Password' field and nothing indicates which password. I don't know if I entered a password incorrectly or need to try a different password. And if I put it in the vault I would have to have another password. Aargh
