Switch Control Not Accessibility Friendly

Switch Control is a very necessary tools for people with disabilities, however, it only allowing 10 loops is not very useful. I know you can tap repeated on the screen to repeat, but this is difficult for disabled people or people with arthritis. Plus, random tapping is just childish, for a lack of a better way to put it. Why can’t I simple get a dialog box to enter the number of repeats or increase the number of loops to 100 or 1000, or even better-until I deactivate the Recipe.

Hi, and welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community.

In Apple Support's article:

Set up Switch Control on iPad – Apple Support

it says:

Choose a scanning style and customize Switch Control

You can adjust the behavior of Switch Control in a variety of ways, to suit your specific needs and style.

Eg:

  1. Go to Settings  > Accessibility > Switch Control.
  2. Tap Scanning Style
  3. Customize Switch Control by setting options such as:

  • Loops: Choose how many times to cycle through the screen before hiding Switch Control."

Maybe this allows you more control ...

or

Wondering if this is where you can only choose the 10 loops.

If so:

You might want to send Feedback to Apple, to reach those who can make changes:

There's a web-form online for feedback:

All the best :-)
