Using AirPods and not getting phone calls and notifications

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. Our recommendation is to verify that Do Not Disturb is turned off. With this feature turned on it can silence the notifications on your iPhone. To verify that you can swipe down in the upper right corner of the screen on your iPhone and make sure that icon of a crescent moon is turned off.

Then we recommend for you to ensure that Phone is toggled on for "Allow Notifications" in Settings > Notifications > Phone. Additional details to review the settings for notifications are outlined here: Use notifications on your iPhone or iPad

In that case, we'd recommend using the Announce notifications with Siri on AirPods or Beats feature, which would allow notifications to be announced for you.

When you have your iPhone connected to Bluetooth headphones, notifications go through there. Even if they are not in your ears.

If they are in your ears and you are not hearing the notifications from your iPhone, then please contact Apple Support: Contact Apple Support

If they are notifying in the headphones and not on your iPhone, this is expected. Please submit feedback to Apple to change this: Product Feedback - Apple
