Removong Citrix

Several years ago my employer made us download Citrix Workspace to our home computers if we ever wanted to work from home. I downloaded it to my IMac, and never used it. Now we aren't allowed to do work on our home computers, so I want to get rid of Citrix. I can't seem to find the trick to do so. I am running Ventura 13.2.1 on my 27-inch 2017 iMac.

Hey jeh57!

You should be able to go to the applications folder in your Finder application and drag the citrix application to the trash.

From Uninstall apps on your Mac – Apple Support (UK);

Use the Finder to delete apps

  1. Switch to the Finder, such as by clicking your desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock.
  2. Select the app you want to delete.
  3. Most apps are in your Applications folder, which you can open by clicking Applications in the sidebar of any Finder window. Or choose Go > Applications from the menu bar in the Finder.
  4. Use any of these ways to move the app to the Bin:
    • Drag the app to the Bin.
    • Select the app and choose File > Move to Bin from the menu bar.
    • Select the app and press Command-Delete on your keyboard.

If you’re asked for a username and password, enter the username and password for an administrator account on your Mac. This is usually the username and password you use to log in to your Mac.

To delete the app after moving it to the Bin, choose Finder > Empty Bin.

If you can't move an app to the Bin: you can't use the Finder to delete apps that are required by your Mac, such as many of the apps installed by macOS.

Hope this helps!
