iCloud email showing on iPhone and iPad, but not MacBook

I'm using icloud.com as my email address. Some emails appear in the inbox on my iPhone, my iPad and in the iCloud web app. But NOT on my Macbook Pro.

I've given it five hours. Emails have arrived and gone out since, but there is still one that I can't make appear on my MacBook Pro. What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

Hey there AussieKas,

We understand you're not seeing an email on your MacBook but you see it on your other devices. We'd be happy to help you troubleshoot this.

Check to see if the email accounts added to your iPhone and iPad are the same ones on your MacBook. To check on your iPhone and iPad, go to Settings > Mail > Accounts and note the accounts listed there. Then, use the steps here to check the accounts added on your MacBook: Add email accounts in Mail on Mac

Kind regards.

Thank you for the reply, but that is not the problem. It seems to be that my Mac is refusing one particular email. I can see it on my iPhone and my iPad and iCloud.com, but not my Mac. I tried forwarding it from my iPhone to my Gmail account, and that did not show up on my Mac either. There must be something peculiar about that one particular email that my MacBook doesn't like.

Thanks for clarifying that for us AussieKas,

We want to ensure we are on the same page. Are you unable to open the email on your Mac, or does it appear as though it was never delivered?

Also, do you use any third-party security software installed on your Mac? Security software may interfere with your computer's ability to communicate over certain aspects of the network. If you have some installed, try uninstalling it to see if the email comes through.

Cheers.

Good suggestion, but that's not the problem. I get emails from this person all the time. It's not in junk, bin, or any other folder. It's especially puzzling because I forwarded that one email to my gmail account. It appeared on all my devices, but not my MacBook. Anyway, I'm going to give up. I copied the text I wanted from the original email.
