automator select the latest file added to map

for every new file dded to a map, I want to send that file as attachment to a mail, and send the mail.

Via automator I crreated a script. The sending of the mail works fine b ut the selectie is not good enough. I select by date today, but this is fine when I only add one file to the map. When I add a second file, the script send a email with the first and the second file. The goal is only to send the last added to the map. Any suggestions?

This seems to be more complicated than it needs to be.

Rather than using a smart folder, if you just attach a Folder Action to your intended folder, it needs only three actions to make it work: New Mail Message, Add Attachments to Front Message, and Send Outgoing Messages.

In older versions of MacOS you had the selection tool (latest added to Map) nut in Ventura this is no longer available.

Any suggestions?
