What type of device are you using to update your trusted phone number? If you haven't already, we recommend trying from the Apple ID website: Go to the Account Security section of appleid.apple.com.

What happens when you try to add a payment method? Do you see an error message?

Thank you. It’s appreciated. I’ve updated the phone number, but when I exit, the old number reappears. It’s frustrating. I’ve rebooted a couple of times also. I’ve listed the new number alongside the old, which doesn’t delete.

Now for the real problem.

The real problem I’ve encountered is trying to get payment card listed in Apple Pay. I thought the reason it wouldn’t list my card was the incorrect phone number.

Message reads…‘This payment method can’t be used in the iTunes Store. Please use another form of payment.’

Im using an iPad and an iPhone.
