List of sounds Airpod pro2 case makes

Hi,

Randomly, my case makes a sound and the light flashes. It is not a charging sound, and it is not a sound/notification from 'Find My'. Those are both very distinct, and this is different.

Can any one list out all of the reasons that Airpod Pro 2 cases make sounds so I can try and diagnose what's going on?

Thanks

AirPods Pro (2nd generation)

Hey there Cameron_R,

The AirPods Pro (2nd generation) charging case has a built-in speaker that can play sound to locate it, alerts you when the battery is low, and alerts when pairing is complete. The sound you're hearing is likely one of those that is expected.

Try turning off charging case sounds and test to see if that helps. The steps below will show you how:

Turn off charging case sounds on AirPods Pro (2nd generation)
Your AirPods Pro (2nd generation) charging case plays a sound when it pairs, charges, and more. You can turn off these sounds.

1. Wear your AirPods, and make sure they’re connected to your device.
2. Do one of the following:
On iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Go to Settings , tap the name of your AirPods near the top of the screen, then turn Enable Charging Case Sounds on or off.
On Mac: Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click the name of your AirPods in the sidebar (you may need to scroll down), then turn “Enable charging case sounds” on or off

You can also change the volume of the sound effects played by your AirPods. See Adjust the volume of sound effects for AirPods.
