Gaps appearing between title and photos

Hi,

I've been out of practice with FCP for awhile and recently starting using it again on a new project. Above my timeline I've added a few title and photo tracks/lanes. However, FCP is generating 'gaps' between these elements on the track.

When I try to move those gaps it messes up the lane and timeline. I didn't have gaps on previous projects when I added titles, etc.

Perhaps I've accident turned on a feature I don't want?

Any advice would be very much appreciated, thanks!

I'm using FCP 10.6.5

I've added a photo and generated a solid to go behind the photo. Then these gaps appeared between photos and the solids. When I try to remove the gaps, it pushes all the solids and photos towards the start of the timeline, not leaving them in place.

Sorry if I'm not explaining this properly.
