My MacBook Pro restarted because of a problem

Hello,

Please, give me an advice.

I have a macbook pro A1706 EMC 3071.

I can't load MacOS to the disk. It does not work both via USB and via the Internet.

Dad always pops up a message.

The system can be installed on an external drive, then the macbook works.

Is there any way to fix this error? or is it a hardware fault?

Thanks

The internal SSD has failed (most likely anyway assuming no accidental liquid damage involved). That is a common issue with the MBPro 13" 2016 & 2017 non-touchbar models. OWC provides a third party drop in replacement SSD which will be less expensive (and provides larger sizes) than an official Apple repair which may end up installing another SSD with the same potential failure.

Edit: If you can still boot the laptop, then make sure to get a good backup while you can. The SSD could fail completely at any moment and when that happens you won't be able to access any data from the failed SSD.

Hey there Ondulin,

While we're unable to interpret the kernel panic you shared, we do understand that your Mac restarted itself, and now isn't starting up as you expect. As it's not starting up as expected, we recommend following the steps that match what you're seeing within this link as it discusses what to do next: If your Mac doesn't start up all the way

If the issue remains afterwards, then the next step would be to let Apple Support know what's been tried as they'll be in the best position to assist further: Get Support

Cheers!
