Cant block all iMessages from Focus

How can I block all iMessages from coming in when having a focus mode activated? I blocked all apps and persons and disabled time sensitive notifications. Sadly, I still get those notifications on my iPad, my Apple Watch and my iPhone.

Thanks in advance!

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Hi there lontage,

We have some suggested steps to check your Focus settings and help with Messages still coming through. We'll be working from this helpful article: Use Focus on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

On your iPhone:

  1. Open Settings > Focus.
  2. Confirm you have 'Shared Across Devices' enabled.
  3. Tap on the Focus mode you use (ex. Do Not Disturb).
  4. Tap People.
  5. Make sure you have notifications silenced or do not have any contacts added.

If those settings are accurate, and you still receive Message notifications, reply back if it's just the notification badge or the text message popup entirely. Lastly, confirm you are updated to the latest iOS version 16.3.1 in Settings > General > Software Update. If there is an update to install, go ahead and complete that. An iOS update will often resolve many issues. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Take care.
