Can the iPhone 8 actually use 5G? I know it can’t but from T-Mobile it said the iPhone 8 has now been configured for use with 5G networks. What does that mean? Will a 5G sim tray work with the iPhone 8 or 8 Plus? Is this real?

it doesn’t have a 5G modem.
I already know that 5G does not work on the 8 but I had other questions too. That doesn’t help too much
