I have a new unused USB Super Drive that I want to attached to my 2022 M2 MacBook Pro. What do I need to connect the two. I have a J5create Model JCA374 which has 2 usb ports but nothing happens when I plug them together.

the superdrive needs to be connected directly to the Mac. it will not function if connected through a dock or hub. and with Macs that only have USB-C / TB3 ports, you need an USB-C to USB Adapter to connect it directly.
