Apple gift card with different serial # inside from the one outside on the envelope card

This is so frustrating that both Apple and Walmart continue to pass the buck. I bought 2 different cards and both had different serial # that did not match the outside of the envelope it was in. Called Apple they say go and take it back to the store, I go to Walmart they say it’s Apple’s Problem. Frustrating!!!!
