Anyone else experiencing random heart rate spikes? Have steady heart rate between 60,70,80s most of day with 1 or 2 random spikes at 169 or 179 this is happening at rest only and not while exercising or sleeping. Any ideas anyone?

If it stays at those artificially high rates for some minutes or until you change wrist position then it is most likely too loose a strap, though possibly tattoos.

Normally gently pressing the watch onto the wrist will restore correct reading after 5-10 seconds and that would suggest looseness is the culprit.

NB check your pulse when it happens to ensure it is not for real, preferably consult a doctor to check for at-rest ectopics.

if you have a spare sports watch wear it on the other wrist
