Problem with the operability of the space on the laptop keyboard

The space doesn't work completely on the 2018 MacBook. The latest version of the Mac OS software. When pressed, only the element is highlighted, and the space bar does not work. This helps either by clicking again or switching the cursor to another screen or to another software.

In this case, an Excel spreadsheet. Search bar. When you press the space bar. The element was completely highlighted, and that's it. The space doesn't work.

Pressing it again helps, then the space bar "wakes up :)" or switching the cursor to another screen/program.

Will rearranging the system help? Or take it to repair immediately?!

Perhaps someone had similar problems with the keyboard?!
