Are you wanting to restore a backup that includes your text and iMessages? If so, then you can use the actions provided in article, Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support.

If you use iCloud for Messages, then all your messages are stored in the cloud instead of locally on your device and should appear the same across all devices. You can read more about this here: Keep your messages up to date with iCloud - Apple Support If your messages aren't syncing correctly across your devices, make sure that each device is set up correctly for this feature.
