My External Monitors are outputting differently after MacBook went to Sleep...
I have two external monitors (Samsung UHD U28E590) hooked up to my MacBook Pro 2019 i9 (both using the same USB-C to DisplayPort Cable). I have been using both external monitors +my built-in retina screen, no issue whatsoever. All outputting at the same quality, same refresh rate.
My laptop went to sleep... and now the monitors are outputting at completely different resolutions and I cannot for the life of me get things back to the way they were before. When I navigate to the "Arrange Displays" menu, It clearly shows that the two monitors are at different resolutions. The two top displays are the Samsung Monitors, and the bottom display is my MacBook...
I have tried swapping the cables, switching the USB-C ports, restarting my MacBook, performing a MacOS update, etc... no luck. The only way to get these two monitors outputting the same is to close my MacBook lid. They then revert to identical output. I need the 3rd screen, and I need to access the keyboard so no-bueno!!
It shows a message on the one monitor "Using scaled resolution may affect performance" ... but there is no option to change the resolution.
... Please Help if you can!! This is driving me crazy.
