When I open the Rosetta Stone app, my ipad screen rotates upside down. This is a new issue. Doesn't happen with other apps, and only just started when using Rosetta Stone. I can't get the screen right side up. I have tried restarting my ipad multiples times and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Help. This is frustrating.

When this happens, are you holding your iPad in Portrait or Landscape mode?
If Portrait, and your iPad is being held with the Camera at the top, we’d like to have you try engaging Rotation Lock and trying again. Rotate the screen on your iPad

If the behavior doesn't change it's likely programed to show in a specific orientation. You can test by opening the app when your iPad is in portrait mode. Rotate the screen on your iPad
Additionally, you can test initiating the Rotation Lock button before opening the app and then positioning the device so the information on the screen is right side up.
However, as it's only related to a specific app if you're still having trouble and as you've removed and reinstalled the app already, reach out to Apple Support directly to further assist.

i’m holding in Landscape mode. Yes I tried to use the rotate lock to no avail. The screen still rotates every time I open Rosetta Stone.
Me too. This is the strangest thing. It never did before the upgrade to the iOS.16

no, it was never an issue before. Have had Rosetta Stone for months and always used with ipad on the magic keyboard in the correct landscape position. As another user has said, it has been happening since new update
Reference to : Problem- When in the Rosetta Stone App. on an iPad the screen will invert while trying to complete the lessons. This is a new occurrence( 3/27/23), as the student has been using Rosetta Stone for the last 2 months without inversion.
Previous reading this forum- I tried precisely those steps above- using the Screen Rotation Lock -with no effect. The screen still inverts when on the Rosetta Stone App. What is curious is it happens for only 1 of my students and not the other?!? After reading above comments, I will have to check if the update is present on the iPad that does NOT rotate the program....
I’ve been having the exact same issue. I only recently installed Rosetta Stone so I don’t know what it was like before the new update. I have an iPad Pro 2020 11”. It happens every time I load the app and I’ve tried deleting it, erasing my iPad and retrying, and all of the suggestions here. One thing that works for me that I don’t see anyone talking about, is when I tip the screen the opposite way, the way that it rotates to when ever I load the app, then back to the way I want it, it will be a temporary fix. However when I do anything in the app, it flips back to the way I don’t want it. Will this be patched in a future update by chance?
