Is there a way to hear myself talk when I'm on the phone or on zoom calls while using Airpod pro's?

I'm used to using a larger headset for work because my work before was done on the phone and I have a baby at home so having a noise cancelling headset was helpful, but I noticed when I used that (Avantree Aria Pro 2) I could actually hear myself/what I sounded like on calls to be able to adjust my volume/tone as needed (we used a phone system thru the computer). Well, I'm changing jobs and now I will be on Zoom meetings with patients and I feel like a big headset looks too clunky so I wanted to switch to ear buds and I got the Airpods Pro and I noticed that when I'm taking calls on my phone or through our online computer system I can't hear myself talk, only the person I'm on the other line with. I don't like that since it's harder for me to tell if I'm talking too loud and it just seems weird to me after using a device where I COULD hear myself talk all day. I haven't tried this on Zoom yet and I believe there is a way on Zoom to use the air pods for the output and my phone for the input but then I worry that if my baby is crying in the background you can hear her. Is there not another way to be able to hear myself besides using two separate devices when I want to take a Zoom meeting?

Press and hold the AirPods stem to toggle the AirPods noise cancelling between Off, Noise Cancelling, Transparent. I think that should do what you need to hear your voice in transparent mode so you get the feedback to speak at the right level. If it doesn't work you might need to change the settings as below,

Hello lfoste15,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you.

Looking over Change the settings of your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support, there doesn't appear to be a specific setting that matches with your needs. Given this, you may want to reach out to Zoom support and/or other developers for other apps you're using to speak with your clients or associates.

You might want to check out accessibility features for your device to see if there are options available to you there. If you're using an iPhone or iPad, you might find the features mentioned in the following article helpful: Customize headphone audio levels on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Best regards.
