iCloud Drive Nearly Full

iCloud has informed me that I am almost out of space. It says that I have 40.6. gb of documents. That cannot be so for a couple of reasons.

  1. I have very few say, 200+ documents mostly of just 1 page.
  2. iCloud settings, are set not to store documents and desktop in iCloud.

Can anyone shine some light on this and help me to solve this problem, please?

Hello Sergeant18,

Documents may be originating from other sources than your Documents and Desktop folders on Mac. They could be files sent via email and text that are being saved, for example in your Downloads. This also includes data from third-party sources like app data. Check out the details on Check your iCloud storage on any device - Apple Support which provides more information on the categories and what's included, along with steps on managing storage.

Cheers!
