Is that email address your Apple ID, and/ or was it when you used that iPhone?

I assume you are using your correct Apple ID (your Apple ID) email address.

Are you receiving invalid PW?

If so is it giving you the ‘forgot password’ option?

If you have gotten that far do you remember the last passcode you used on that device?

Lastly, if you used several different Apple IDs, or frequently rotated the email associated. Your device may not accept what might be considered another new Apple ID (separate because it is going by the emails you previously used on that phone as ID) on that phone.

There is a limit how many times it can be ‘changed’.
