I changed over to the 14 pro max but what happened to my credit cards that were in the wallet?

Sign in with the same Apple ID, as your old iPhone, on your new iPhone 14 Pro Max. Once you do that then you will be prompted to add all your previous cards to Apple Pay. You will have to re-enter the security number of each card that you previously added.
