iPhone storage is showing I am using up more space than I actually am

I have an iPhone 13, up to date with latest iOS version. My phone storage is 128GB however I’ve only used 61GB of it including the iOS and system data storage size but for some reason it keeps showing that I’ve used 122GB of 128GB so I am really confused as to why.

It seemed to happen after I took a long video for a class recording of 2hrs and 45min and the video size was 10GB but even after deleting the video nothing changed in my storage…and i tried restarting my phone but it only went down to 116GB.

Weird thing is, my iOS size isn’t that big but in the bar it shows I have roughly 3 times more than my photos size which is around 20GB.

Anyone have an idea as to what the problem is and how I can fix this?

I would recommend scrolling down on that page then, you should see a list of each application that is using storage space From there you can click and delete unwanted things that you may or may not of known were taking up space, like recently deleted things that are still in the trash for example
