Airpod Pro flashing orange/amber

Hi,

First time on here, but looking for some advice on Airpods. I have some new Airpods and have a flashing orange light when I open the lid with the earbuds in the case.


I've read a number of posts on this issue and the tried all the actions suggested, but nothing seems to be working. I'm thinking there might be something wrong with the Firmware but when I can't even connect to Airpods to my iPhone to try the one earbud in and one earbud out routine to force update the Firmware...I simply don't get anything appearing in the first place.


Case seems fine as I get a solid green light when the earbuds are out, but only a flashing orange light when the earbuds are in.


I hope someone out there can help? Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you may see orange/amber: (case or AirPods are charging)

green: (case or AirPods are fully charged)

flashing white: (AirPods are ready to pair)


flashing amber: (error: means AirPods need to be reset and paired.

Re: update the Firmware


Seems you need the newest iPhone iOS (is currently 16.3.1)

and

firmware updates automatically when AirPods are connected to iPhone.

(For earlier iPhone models use the newest compatible iOS version)
