Pages is not installed automatically by the operating system. See the other advice in this thread. If your version of macOS is older than Monterey (12.*), or Ventura (13.*), then you cannot get the current version of Pages from the Mac App Store.
If you ever installed Pages from the Mac App Store after Oct 2013, then depending on that operating system being Mavericks through Big Sur, you may be able to get the last compatible version of Pages for that specific operating system from the Mac App Store's Purchases panel and using the same Apple ID.
Try the App Store if it is not in /Applications
