Wrong number and iMessages
Hi, after updating the ios My Number shows the wrong number. Also I have regular iMessages requesting the removal and re-inserting of the SIM card.

If you have changed your phone number and it still shows your old phone number in the settings for iMessage, follow the steps in this article to remove the old phone number from iMessage:
Deregister and Turn Off iMessage - Apple Support
Then insert your new SIM card into the phone, set it back to factory settings and set it up again after that.
That way your phone number will be registered automatically with all the needed Apple Services, and all needed carrier updates will be installed as well.
