We are planning a national park trip out west this summer and have been prompted to use Google Chrome for better success getting reservations on recreation.gov. Any suggestions on switching browser on my MacBook?

I have always used the default browser settings when using Safari on my MacBook laptop. I am running Ventura 13.1. The recreation.gov website suggested using Google Chrome browser to get past checkout glitches I had to reserve campsites. Any suggestions on how to switch browsers and if there are concerns doing that.

Thanks,

Tony L.

Utter nonsense.

You cannot install Google Chrome without installing Google on your Mac, which is the closest thing to a "computer virus" the Mac has ever known. If you are required to use Google then buy a Chromebook.

You can use browsers other than Safari, and there are no special concerns or considerations with them. However, Google Chrome is not just a browser, and cannot be installed without also installing Google's system-altering components.
