Can’t Re-Enter My Password

On both my iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (5th generation) IOS 16.3.1 and my iPhone 13 Pro IOS 16.1.1, I’m getting dialogue boxes that are asking me to re-enter my Gmail password. I tap ‘Settings’ and it takes me to a field that says, ‘Re-enter Password’. However, when I tap that field, no keyboard appears nor can I enter my password. I’ve tried resets, deleting accounts and searching the web but nothing seems to work. Please help. Thank you.
