If you are locked out of your MacBook and have forgotten your password, there are a few ways to reset it:

1. Use your Apple ID: If you have set up your MacBook to use your Apple ID as a recovery option, you can use this to reset your password. On the login screen, click on the "?" button next to the password field, and then follow the prompts to reset your password using your Apple ID.

2. Use the recovery mode: If you have enabled FileVault encryption on your MacBook, you can use the recovery mode to reset your password. To do this, restart your MacBook and hold down the Command + R keys until the Apple logo appears. This will boot your MacBook into recovery mode, where you can select "Utilities" and then "Terminal." In the terminal window, type "resetpassword" and press Enter. This will bring up a password reset utility where you can select your hard drive and reset your password.

3. Use a third-party tool: If the above methods do not work, you can use a third-party tool such as iSeePassword to reset your password. These tools can be downloaded and burned onto a CD or USB drive, which can then be used to boot your MacBook and reset your password.

It is important to note that resetting your password using any of these methods will erase any data on your MacBook that was encrypted with your old password. If you have important data on your MacBook that you need to access, you should try to recover your password before resorting to a password reset.
