When logging into my Apple account it says my apple account is being used near San Francisco CA and I am not even close to California. Asked me to change my password but still says I am near San Franciso CA. Has my phone been hacked?

I will add to shoeluvr13’s excellent answer that if you are using a VPN connection the location reported is random.
