If you indeed have the older 2-Step Verification (2SV) you can turn it off after logging-in to your account @ https://appleid.apple.com/


If you actually have and are using the newer 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) - although it’s certainly not “new” - it can’t be turned off.


What makes you think that you want to turn this significant protective feature “off?”


If you DO have 2FA; you should become familiar w/ the info contained in these two articles:
