Spotlight search not working

The spotlight search on the Mac id not working as well as the search on the outlook app.
MacBook Pro (2017 – 2020)

In System Preferences->Spotlight, make sure that all the relevant types of information are checked.
If they are checked, and search still does not work, you may try to force Spotlight to reindex your drive.
In Terminal, type
sudo mdutil -E /
type your password as requested (there is no feedback as type), and press enter.
Give it some time to reindex.
