Why do I see “call silenced” when no Focus is active?

Why does my phone display “call silenced” for incoming calls when no Focus is turned on? I can see the display that always accompanies incoming calls; it should be ringing so I know someone is calling. My phone is not on “silent mode”.

"Silence Unknown Callers" is off, but calls are still silenced AND not showing up in Missed Calls I tried the "Silence Unknown Calls" feature a couple weeks ago for the first time since it seemed useful, but calls weren't showing up in the Missed Calls list, so I toggled it back off. However, Unknown Calls are still being silenced but aren't showing up in the Missed Calls list. I have turned my phone off and back on, and actually got a brand new phone a couple days ago, but this problem persists. I use my phone for business and this is a HUGE problem. I have a seen several posts about this going back a couple years but they all say to just toggle off the function, which doesn't work. I do not have any "focus" options set up. Other ideas? Thank you!

Focus settings on iPhone Hi, I recently started utilising the Focus features on my iPhone 15 a couple of weeks ago. One of the notification options when setting up a Focus is 'Silence Notifications' which silences incoming calls and notifications while the iPhone is either locked or unlocked. I have it set up so it only silences while locked but does anyone know if I receive a call while my iPhone is locked (or turned off), does this mean that my iPhone won't ring to say that someone is calling me? Even though I added the person to the list of people to allow calls from.

Where is the noisy button? Seriously, my received calls are important. Can we please have a single button (or focus mode) to return the phone to loud? There are so many ways to silence the phone it's easy to have it accidentally silent. Aside from calling yourself from a different phone, it's difficult to be sure it's going to ring. For those of us who do business on the phone, it's important to hear it ringing. A silent "Work" mode makes no sense, if work involves taking phone calls.

Check Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers.

”Silence Unknown Callers” is off.

Software is up to date (16.3.1).
