Is it possible for someone to hack your eSIM to use it for their iPhone?

Is it possible for someone else to steal your Sim card or your esim and block you from seeing your own activity and their activity?

While it’s possible for someone to “virtually” steal your SIM … often with an “insider” or poor security at a carrier … that does NOT give them control of your iPhone or your AppleID.


Your indications of this is that your mobile carrier’s voice, data, and SMS simply quit working.


Research “SIM Swap Fraud” for more info.


However, until you’ve resolved it with your carrier, they DO control your phone number and can place calls w/ your number, and receive all calls and SMSs sent to you …


… including 2FA codes from those organizations who still use SMS for this purpose.
