I suspect this iPhone 7 (2016-2018) is simply failing.

Here is what Apple suggests doing: If you see No Service, Searching, or SOS on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

There is (was) a program for some models: iPhone 7 Repair Program for "No Service" Issues - Apple Support — but that covers four years from purchase, which has passed.

An update to iOS 15 would be suggested too, but you’re probably too tight on storage to make that an easy update, meaning using a Mac or Windows PC to update: Update iOS on iPhone - Apple Support

Troubleshooting "No Service":

A. About "No Service":

Is "No Service" shown on the top-left corner of your screen? If so, go here to fix that: If you See No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

B. Contact your Carrier:

Having this issue, contact your Carrier, asking them to fix this, as they configure all of this in the SIM card.
