Neither Iphone or Macbook is identifying duplicate photos

Hi,

As a result of migrating from android to an iPhone I currently have a photo gallery with a large set of duplicate photos, many of them has the same name but with different EXIF data such as dates, locations etc. Initially the duplicate photo finder did a good job and found many of the duplicate photos but it's still missing a large chunk of them. I'm wondering if there's a good way to force the device to scan for duplicates again or if there's a good third party tool that allows for photo merging similarly to how it's done in the iOS photos app.

Kind Regards

They delete the chosen photo. Photos does a great job at combining the metadata, and I don't know of anything else that does. But I do spend some time copying the keywords and such between "duplicates" that Photos didn't find.

I wouldn't try to use any other 3rd Party software for duplicates in Photos libraries. Other apps will remove data that the Photos database requires, and the library will get totally messed up.
