Ringer volume changing on its own

I set my ringer volume on its highest setting, and the next time I use the phone or I get a call it has automatically set itself down. Low

Hi duderay,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that your iPhone notification volume changes unexpectedly.

Do you have a case on your iPhone? If so, do you have Change with Buttons enabled? You can go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics to check as outlined here: How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode - Apple Support

"Change ringtone and alert volume with buttons

If you want to control your ringtone and alert volume separately from other apps, turn off Change with Buttons. Then you need to manually adjust your ringtone and alert volume in Settings > Sounds & Haptics or Settings > Sounds."

If you do have Change with Buttons enabled, go ahead and turn it off temporarily to test. This will let you know if the volume is being changed due to the volume buttons on the side of your iPhone being pressed unexpectedly.

We look forward to your reply.

Cheers!
