Shazam widget and Apple watch not adding songs to playlist. Most used feature is useless.

When I Shazam songs with my watch app or iOS control center widget, they do not add to my shazam playlist.

Does anyone have a solution?

This is a COMPLETE waste. I'd rather not have the feature than to shazam hundreds of songs I'll never be able to access easily.

Hey Uhhidunno,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Here's some information about using Shazam with your iPhone and Apple Watch:

"Find previous Shazams

To find previous Shazams on iPhone or iPad, swipe up on the main Shazam screen to access My Music. To delete a Shazam, tap the More button next to that Shazam, then tap “Remove from My Music.”

On Mac, recent Shazams appear below the Shazam button.

On Apple Watch, recent Shazams appear below the Shazam button and are also saved to My Music on the paired iPhone."

"When you turn on Music Recognition and Shazam in iCloud settings on your device, your song history is synced across the Shazam App and Control Center. In most cases, this happens automatically. Here’s what to do if it isn’t working:

  1. Make sure you've updated Shazam to the latest version.
  2. Make sure you have two-factor authentication set up for your Apple ID.
  3. Go to Settings > your name.
  4. Tap iCloud.
  5. Turn on Music Recognition.
  6. Turn on Shazam.

When you sync Shazam in Control Center with iCloud, your Shazams will no longer be available in your account at shazam.com. And because Shazam will no longer be storing your data, you won’t be able to get copy of your Shazam data from Shazam.com."

For future reference, you can review the information here: Use Shazam on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac .

All these things have been done. The community as a whole agrees this does nothing.

We can go to the Control Center, press and hold the shazam button, then can manually select individual songs to add manually, however, that defeats the entire purpose.

As stated, this feature does not work. If you'd like to see it for yourself, you're welcome to. You can also go on any thread on the subject and you'll learn that this is a universal flaw. It does not sync to apple music.
