i am getting texts but not notifications and i have it set up correctly

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It was a good idea checking your notification settings to make sure they're correct. In your troubleshooting, did you try changing it to a different tone to see if that pushes the notification sound through to you? Also, check to make sure the notifications aren't silenced for the individual thread. Both steps can be found here: Change message notifications on iPhone - Apple Support
