I recently did a clean reinstall of High Sierra on my old 2011 iMac after a hard crash wiped out not only my hard drive but my back up drive as well.
I can't access the App Store any longer (spinning beach ball of deth) so I was wondering if there's somewhere in Support where I can find a list of compatible apps that are legacy to High Sierra? This way, at least I can start to recreate my stuff.

Mostly you just need a more modern Browser than Safari on Mojave, or High Sierra like Firefox or Brave.

Look into the Free LibreOffice, it handles MS Office files like Word & Excel, & Page Layout…

Safari on macOS 10.13 works fine for accessing the app store, or we’d be getting reports around here.
And other browsers (as you are aware) may not work with app store links.
No VPN and it's an ethernet connection so it's probably rock solid, but I'll double check.
