How to stop Pages from crashing

Hi, I have a M2 MacBook running 13.2.1 and I cannot seem to fix the application Pages from crashing. I have read all the relevant online posts and implemented the proposed solutions but nothing has worked. It is totally interrupting creative flow.

I have tried the following:

  • Delete Cache
  • Delete Preferences file
  • Booted in Safe mode
  • Started Pages with shift key held down
  • Reinstalled Pages from App store

I am saving files locally, not using iCloud.

This is the only application crashing.

Any help would be much appreciated!! :)

Thank you in advance.

You didn't mention sending Feedback to the Pages product team from its application menu, and describing these steps that do not end crashing. This might get their attention with a subsequent email from them asking for more info.

Otherwise, from a productive standpoint, switch to MS Word, it does not misbehave on my M2 mini Pro running macOS v13.2.1. Neither does my Pages v12.2.1 for that matter.

Pages is sensitive to missing fonts that it requires. That will crash it in a Texas minute.

Hi, thank you for the prompt reply and info. I sent feedback to Apple as you suggested. I am a regular MS word user but I have been trying to use the native applications to get to know them better. I think your suggestion is probably the only viable option thank you. Huge irony there, I have to use a Microsoft product on my mac for it to be stable...

I will watch out for missing fonts, but currently I am just using the default Publico.

All the best
