Issue downloading pages

I need to re-install pages on a old mac desktop running catalina 10.15.7 - which appears to be the latest. The app store gives me an error that I have to be running IOS12. Any ideas?

The current version of Pages (v12.2.1) requires macOS Monterey or later for installation. Apple does not maintain past full installers of Pages for user download.

If you have never installed Pages since Oct 2013 from the Mac App Store, then you cannot get the last compatible version for Catalina. If you have, then launch the Mac App Store on Catalina, login with the same Apple ID as you used for the previous installation. Press cmd+0 (zero) to open the Purchased panel, and if Pages is there with a blue cloud download icon, select that. A dialog will then offer to install the last compatible version (11.1) of Pages for Catalina.
