How to recover a folder that was replaced?

Hello. I screwed up. So I was trying to have two "Documents" type folders, one called "Local Documents" for files and folders I did NOT want synced to iCloud, and the other just the default Mac "Documents" folder I wanted synced with iCloud. I somehow ended up with two identical folders for my music recording software called "Studio One", one in the "Local Documents" folder and one in the default "Documents" folder. I tried moving the "Studio One" folder that was in "Documents" into the other "Local Documents" folder, and it gave me the option to replace the existing duplicate, and I just clicked YES because I thought they were identical. Well it turned out that the one I replaced the other with did not include any sub-folders or files in it, so I lost all of the files and sub-folders that were in the original "Studio One" folder. So I now have just one folder called "Studio One", that is completely empty, and have no idea where the original "Studio One" folder files went? About 10GB's of songs and preset data. I have tried to use tools like Disk Drill and Stellar Recovery to find those original files, but cannot find them anywhere. Could they have been renamed when they were replaced? Where should I be looking for these files? Such a huge mistake, but now just hoping there is a way to recover that folder. About 2 years worth of songs I was recording! Anything helps, thanks!
