Microsoft Teams + AirPlay = Sounddelay 2-3 Sec

I use Microsoft Teams and would like to use the Homepod (2nd Gen) as an output device for speech. Here, a time delay of 2-3 seconds between video and acoustic output can be noticed. This makes the HomePod unusable for video conferencing.

The time delay is identical between teams in the browser (chrome), Safari or MacOS app from Microsoft.

Other external video conference boxes such as eMEET or Jabra that are connected via Bluetooth have no time delay. Accordingly, it seems to be due to the transmission via Airplay.

When will the problem for the time delay be solved?

You can use Feedback - HomePod - Apple to let Apple know how you'd like things to work, but this delay seems to be built-in to the current implementation of AirPlay. Presumably if there was an easy way to remove it then it would have been done by now. It may be required to allow multiple devices to play in sync, but a real time mode would be great for other occasions.
