My wife’s 14 Pro Max has an issue when taking a still picture or video when zooming in.
The screen becomes entirely noise or whatever you’d call it.
The problem persists even after restarting and powering OFF/ON.
The device is currently running IOS 16.3.1
I’m using a 13 Pro Max with no issues.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

I’m going to install iOS 16.4 when it comes out.
if the zoom problem is still happening after the update I will take it to my local Apple Genius Bar.
if this happens I suspect it might be a hardware problem.

I updated my 14 Pro Max to iOS 16.4 tonight.
The issue with the zoom on video and photo persists.
Tonight the entire screen would go white.
I’ve attached a couple pics.
I’m going to make an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar and have them look at the phone.
I suspect it’s most likely a hardware issue.

I have an update on my Iphone 14 Pro Max camera zoom issue.
I took it to the Jump+ Apple Store today.
They tested the phone and found that the telephoto camera was defective.
The only fix is to replace the camera module (all three cameras).
The tech guy replaced the module and tested and calibrated the cameras.
All is good, camera zoom/telephoto operation is working perfectly.
Took about 1.5hrs start to finish

The Apple Tech Support determined the telephoto camera was defective.
Since all three cameras are contained in one module tech support replaced the camera module.
Entire process took about 1.5hrs.
Phone is working great now!😁
