Purchase and return of iPhone 14promax 258mb

I was told after trying to purchase another iPhone 12 promax, to buy the 14 and if I wasn’t way happier with it over the 12, I could return it for a full refund and purchase the12promax. Is this true?

I was not informed about the Iphone 15 coming out the next day even when asking about a new phone release. I was sold the iphone 14. I would prefer the phone15. Does anyone know the return policy for the phones from apple? I would have prefered the iphone 15 and was not told about it coming out the next day (even though I asked). What is the return policy for iphones from apple? Is there one? I know the iphone 15 is probably more money.

If you purchased directly from Apple, you have 14 days to return it for a refund.
