Gemini TT-1100 USB Turntable recognition

I have a Gemini TT-1100 USB Turntable. My MacBook will not recognize the turntable. I have gone in to Audio Midi Setup and have gotten nowhere as far as the device populating when attached through USB and turned on. I am hoping to record some albums in Audacity, but the problem seems to lie with the MacBook recognizing the device.

I have doublechecked, and the turntable is Mac compatible.

Thank you.

Hi Rodan666,

Are you seeing an alert that there's not enough power to connect the device? If so, for help with connecting USB devices to your MacBook Pro, check out the information below found in the article here: If you see USB Devices Disabled on your Mac

"If an external device isn’t recognized by your Mac and a message says that the device needs more power, the operation can't be completed, or USB Devices Disabled, try these steps:

  • Disconnect and reconnect the external device to your Mac.
  • Connect your external device to a different port on your Mac.
  • If your external device is connected to a USB or Thunderbolt hub, connect your device directly to your Mac.
  • If your USB or Thunderbolt hub is self-powered, make sure that it’s connected to an AC adapter. "

If the issue continues, check out and test the with the information in the guide here as well: If a USB device doesn’t work with Mac
