  • Legacy models Apple TV (3rd generation and earlier) will need the old style Apple Remote (aluminum) A1294. Apple doesn’t sell these anymore, but some other reseller may still have a few.
  • Apple TV (4th generation or later) can best use the Siri Remote. The remote is for sale separately. Buy Siri Remote (3rd generation) - Apple Store online.
