Outlook displays incorrect badge count on iPhone

I have read other threads on this issue and none of the steps provided by tech support were useful, nor were they useful to the user in the last thread I read. I have tried restarting my phone, uninstalling the app, checking for updates, etc. I even tried marking all my emails in that app unread and then marking them read again, but my app badge still indicates two unread messages. It’s very irritating, and I never had this problem before today. Can anyone provide a solution?
